Terms and Conditions Of Hire
The equipment hired remains the property of Harvey’s Catering and Equipment Hire Limited.
The hirer or the hirer’s agent must sign for the goods delivered as being correct.
No responsibility will be accepted by Harvey’s Catering Services for accident or damage resulting from use of the equipment hired whatsoever the cause arising.
The hirer is fully responsible for the hire equipment from commencement of the hire until the equipment is returned to our store.
Equipment may be returned to us unwashed at a cost of 20% of the hire cost and must be returned in the container in which it is delivered. Additional charges may be incurred for the sorting of cutlery etc. A charge will also be made for any containers not returned.
The hired equipment is specifically for use and storage indoors. If the equipment is used or stored outside, the hirer is responsible for any damage caused by the weather.
Prices quoted are for one-day hire only. Delivery can be made the day before use and collection the day after.
Extended Hire Charges - Each additional day charge as ½ days hire
One weeks hire charged as 2 plus ½ days hire
Each additional week charged as 1 days hire
One months hire charged as 5 days hire
A delivery and collection charge will be made to all orders unless the customer is arranging their own transport. The charge for the London area is £40.00. Please ask for a quote for any other area.
In addition to the hire charges, a refundable deposit will be taken and banked by us. The deposit, less the cost of any breakage or shortages will be returned by post after the equipment has been checked by authorised staff at our store. Where the deposit is not sufficient to cover the replacement cost, the hirer is liable for the balance.
All prices are subject to VAT.
Unless alternative arrangements have been made, full payments must be made on or before the commencement of the hire. Delivery will not be carried out until payment has been received.
Cancellation of hire within 72 hour will be charged at 50% of hire, within 24 hours at full charge.
If you are collecting equipment three types of I.D. must be shown.
